'Beach ball' hats were so named due to the 6 panel crown construction similar to that of a classic beach ball. Ours features 3 different Tiger patterns creating an authentic aesthetic as seen on many incountry made originals.

Locally made boonie hats were procured by many of the CIA operatives, USAF FACS and Special Forces outfits in South East Asia during the Vietnam war. This included Covey Riders, experienced MACV SOG personnel who had spent time on the ground and over the fence in Laos and Cambodia. Many were once 1-0’s. These men would be back seater’s in FAC’s (Forward Air Controllers) or side by side in some planes.  Covey Rider's were the eyes in the sky and would assist recon teams on the ground in the insertion and the extraction of teams.

Carefully crafted in the East Asia Supply Co workshop, each bag is bench made ensuring attention to detail and quality workmanship. Each Tiger pattern is period authentic and custom made in Japan for EAS.
