About

TSPTR is an acronym standing for Truth, Symmetry, Pleasure, Taste and Recognition, the five design principles of Louis Sullivan, American modernist architect, designer and 'the father of skyscrapers'. His viewpoint was that 'form should ever follow function' and we subscribe to that ideal.

Our garments channel the history of the original counterculture, exploring subculture, politics, music, protest and film. We have a passion for clothing with meaning, each TSPTR garment has both great design and a great story. Combining our experience, creative backgrounds, and appreciation of vintage clothing to create garments with both a purpose and a narrative. From garment to accessory and old to new, we share the stories we love that are true, soulful, and need to be heard.

Our clothes are ethically made in Portugal and Japan, using mills and factories where tradition, expertise and human dignity take precedence over the bottom line. The cotton we use is organic and certified to GOTS standards. It has been produced in accordance with organic farming standards recognized by GOTS, and the products have been processed in accordance with GOTS. Compliance with the standard is audited and monitored.

We regularly donate portions of our profits to causes we believe in and speak out on issues we find important. We hold a firm belief that all brands have a responsibility to the environment, and ensure all of our products are ethically made.

We believe in doing things our own way, with conviction, according to principles we determine ourselves, going the extra mile to design, create, and test our products to be on par with the vintage objects that we prize and respect. Our product not only affects the lives of the people we collaborate with, but hopefully forges a meaningful connection with you as well. Take the trip, enjoy the ride!
