One day in late 1978 Dennis Wilson met Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie at Village Recorders in LA where he'd been working on tracks for his second solo record Bambu. The electricity was immediate and they began a highly publicised, whirlwind romance, quickly becoming rock and rolls most talked about couple. Their tumultuous relationship was deeply defined by the cocaine and alcohol culture of the late 1970s LA scene and they finally split in 1981. McVie's final gesture to Dennis would be the song "Only Over You" on Fleetwood Mac's 1982 album Mirage.
