While entrenched in the post production of Apocalypse Now, in Hollywood, Coppola set up a bar in his writers bungalow on the studio lot. Ironically named "Willard’s" (after Martin Sheen’s character), the bar was a sanctuary from the studio heads that were intent on shutting down the production. As the pressure mounted Coppola himself slipped further into the madness that surrounded the films inception.
