TSPTR x Eastman Leather 'Okinawa' A-2 Flight Jacket
Hand made from Eastman WarHorse® - Horsehide leather in Seal Brown shade with authentic shade and weave 100% cotton lining, premium quality 3-ply 100% cotton thread in correct Olive Drab shade, tube construction 100% wool cuff and waistband in correct weave and colour, original NOS 1940's Talon M42 zip and perfect reproduction of the original maker label.

The jacket references the 'souvenir' jackets that were so popular with USAAF aircrews based in Japan post WWII. Traditional satin Sukajan jackets were brought back with many servicemen, others opted for more individual souvenirs, have their jackets painted by local artists or in the local Japanese style.

The hand painted back and front artwork is superbly rendered, and has been worked in order to capture the essence of a time-aged original. To the front right breast is a traditional Japanese Sukajan Tiger and to the left the Japanese Kanji Script meaning 'peace'. The back painting depicts Snoopy as the Flying Ace of Clubs.

The garment is finally given the Eastman TimeWorn® process, which renders it with a stunning vintage patina that is unbelievably convincing. Both the painting and the patch melt into the leather as though they have been seated there for decades, giving you the ultimate in a recreation of a true vintage icon.

The product is hand made to order and delivered in a custom-made, metal-edge, hard-card box to treasure forever, and eventually hand-down to the next generation - just like an original.

Due to the extremely specialist nature of this product only a very few pieces can be made on a yearly basis, so we ask for your kind understanding if delivery times are particularly extended when ordering this item.
