USMC P-41 fatigue jacket in olive herringbone twill with plaid cotton lining and nickel buttons featuring an original Black Panther Party artwork on the reverse, printed with water based ink.
In October of 1966 in Oakland, CA, Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale created a radical political party at the forefront of revolutionary change—the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. It's aims were to serve the oppressed and subjugated African American people and fight injustice. They created programs to benefit the poorest in the area, stood up against power and corruption, and earned the admiration of other struggling communities in the US and across the globe.
